2-Week Online Training Program Offered on The SaniPath Tool in Partnership with CSE, India

The SaniPath team conducted a 2-week training program from August 17-28, 2020 in collaboration with the Center for Science and Environment (CSE) in India. Our SaniPath training curriculum was adapted to a live virtual format on Zoom coupled with asynchronous assignments. A total of 59 individuals participated from 8 different countries, the majority from low-and middle-income countries in South Asia and Africa. The participants came from a variety of backgrounds and included engineers, urban planners, researchers, and other environmental health or sanitation practitioners from government, private sector, and academia.

SaniPath Project Launch: Kumasi, Ghana

In partnership with Training, Research and Networking for Development (TREND) Group, the SaniPath Project was launched in Kumasi, Ghana in July ’18. This project involves TREND conducting training of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) members and performing project management activities for a deployment in 4 neighborhoods throughout Kumasi. KMA will be conducting the fieldwork and collaborating with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to perform laboratory analyses. These activities are part of the establishment of TREND as a SaniPath Training Hub for the West-African region.
